Diaconal Assembly with Archbishop Hebda
Our theme for the Diaconal Assembly this year will focus on the deacon and the Holy Eucharist. This theme is certainly fitting, as we are in the midst of the National Eucharistic Revival and Year Two of our Archdiocesan Synod, which is focused on the Mass. Archbishop Hebda will be with us, as well as Bishop Michael Izen, Paul Ruff and Deacon Joe Michalak, who will speak and facilitate small group discussion around the importance of the Eucharist in diaconal life and ministry. We will also take time for prayer and fellowship in a relaxed and beautiful setting. Deacon wives are welcome to attend, and you are welcome to come down to Winona early to enjoy some additional rest and refreshment.
The assembly cost is $300 per deacon and should be drawn from your parish ongoing diaconal formation budget. Wives’ attendance is an additional $200. If you are retired or are not assigned to a parish, a scholarship will be provided to cover your costs. The schedule and more details will be forthcoming.
